Masterbatch (MB) is a solid or liquid additive used in the plastics industry. Masterbatch is used to color the plastic (color masterbatch) or impart other properties to the plastic (plastics). Masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments and additives that is encapsulated during heating into a resin, which is then cooled and cut into granules.
