Spectrophotometer
A spectrophotometer is a more complex color measuring instrument that relies on light intensity with a color function. It performs color measurements across the entire spectrum, as opposed to the colorimeter's three-primary color-based process and produces color data beyond the human eye's range of vision.

Employees at Polyplast Vietnam company use spectrophotometric color devices to test the color quality of colored plastic resins
Functions
Desktop or handheld models.
Advanced solution for complex color measurement needs.
More features.
Greater accuracy from full-spectrum color measurement.
How it works
The internal light source radiates into the diffraction grid, which acts as a prism that separates light into different wavelengths of the full spectrum.
As the grid rotates, only a specific wavelength of light reaches the exit slit and interacts with the sample at a time.
The detector measures the light intensity, transmittance and absorbance of the sample.
The spectrometer displays this information digitally.
Functions
